11 Weeks and Counting!

Well, I just finished up with my 5th week of clinical, so that's right only 11 to go! I missed out this week on having to travel to Onalaska in the snow, but today going into school for lab made up for it. I've been pretty tired this week after the weekend at Barb's and going to Green Bay to see Nicole in the State Cheer competition (they took 2nd in state!) and then of course my late night return to GB with my wonderful gambling son-in-law. (Bob and Barb do not like the casino, so we went without them) We met Sherry and Jon up there and had fun for a couple of hours, but no big winnings to report.

I was hoping for a snow day tomorrow from school, but it doesn't look probable, so I better get to work on the paper I have due tomorrow. (I don't take after that child of mine who gets it done before it is assigned).

Camera Mission Accomplished

Well we did it! Bought a camera, took a picture and posted it. Only took about 3 hours to figure out the uploading part of it. I think with this Kodak program, I've probably sent this pic all over the world and back.

I need to stop playing around with this right now and get my paper written for my clinical review and get packed for the weekend. We're heading over to the east side of the state to visit Barb & Brad and see Nicole compete in the State Cheer & Dance for finals. Their school took 1St in state last year and they could do it again!

You'll all have to wait until Sunday PM for update and possibly pics. I'm hoping Barb can give me a crash course on this camera stuff.

???? Blogging Regulations ????

After hearing there are bets out there for how long I can keep this up and how often will she do it, I figured I better get some rules!

I was informed that once a week was not enough....is there a rule? (Even though I haven't had a post in a few days, I am working on gathering things for an upcoming piece.)

I do realize that some of you attended school and worked at the same time and could handle it, but you weren't my age! I don't know whether I'm coming or going at this point, but I do know that I only have 12 weeks left with one week of spring break. I CAN DO IT.

I sound pretty cranky tonight. My day today started at 2:45 am and I was on the road to Onalaska by 3:30. Clinical was pretty stressful as another 2 patients decided to stop treatment and came by to say good-bye. This might be a little harder than I thought. The needle pokes are nothing compared to the effects of death. (Barb must get the free flowing tears from me.)

On the brighter side, Bob has mastered the crock pot on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! He is pretty proud. All I have to do is prepare the meal the night before and the plugs it in and turns it on before he leaves for work. We have found that after clinical if I don't eat by 5:30 or so, I fall asleep before it's done, so this is working well.

Any thoughts on a digital camera? We will be (finally) purchasing one very soon, but I don't even know where to start with that. HELP! And it has to be simple.

Happy Family (Maybe not so after this!)

After much consideration, (we did not want to be shown up by the kids) I'll try. I already know that I won't be as religious as Barb or as positive as Rob or as funny as Laura, but here we go.

My favorite family photo....
This was taken at my brother's wedding. The good old days of when I still knew more than the kids (at least I thought I did). Barbara was in 4th grade, Robert in 2nd and Laura in Kindergarten. It was a hectic trip to Milwaukee with not only the kids to pack and get ready, but a wedding cake to take as well. Bob had made a contraption for the car to pack under and put the cakes on top of. Little did he know that he might have to stop fast. Remember catching the cake? All turned out ok.

Our little family as grown lots since then, and now we know for sure that they all know more than the two of us put together.

Right now, I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with school (last semester!) and Bob has been busy with work. I know that I won't have the time for the up keep and entries like my off spring, but we'll try!

Well I'm off to study again and try to finish my case study paper. Any offers from my very intelligent children to help? (or just do it?)
